This article explains how to link several databases to one Adonis Personnel Manager (APM) instance.


Setup explanation

Note

The setup works only if all APM instances are on the same version. Thus it is not recommended for the TEST instances used for testing new versions/ patches.

The setup might only be applicable if you have a TEST system on the same version as PROD where you try a new setup or check different usage scenarios etc. It can also be applicable if you have a scrambled version of the PROD database and want support to have access to this database instead of the PROD for security purposes.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open the adpw file in the Installation folder with the Notepad.

  2. Add two database records
    The first should start with [DATABASE0], the second with [DATABASE1] etc.

    DATABASE NAME - the full name of the database.
    SERVER NAME - the full name of the server.
    CON_NAME - the display name of the database while launching the APM.

  3. Save the changes.

  4. Launch the Adonis Personnel Manager (APM) application.
    You will see a new droop-down with database selection.
