How to de-activate a vessel


This article explains what steps are required to deactivate a vessel.


Introduction

Under the Organization Structure, we have an organization tree with companies, vessels, departments, and positions beneath each department.

In this article, we will go through the step-by-step process of deactivating the vessel that is no longer active/in use.

Procedure

To disable a vessel/ ship you need to perform the following steps:

Step 1: Disable Replication

If there is an active replication running between the vessel and the office, turn it off on both sides.

Make sure replication is up to date on all sites before disabling it.

To disable the replication:

  1. Open the Replication Manager > select the instance > go to the Adonis Replication tab and turn off the “Use built-in scheduler” option

     

  2. Stop the Services via Replicator:

  3. Then you need to open APM > Setup > Adonis Replicator > Site Properties.

  4. Remove the Active tick from the vessel that you are disabling.

Step 2: Disable Rotation Planning

  1. Open APM > Modules > Rotation Planning.

  2. Set all the Ration Plans linked to this vessel to historical.
    But first, make sure that there are no active shifts in those plans before you do.

 

Step 3: Disable Crew Change

  1. Open APM > Modules > Crew Change.

  2. Set all the Crew Change itineraries linked to this vessel to historical.
    But first, make sure that there is no active crew assigned to those itineraries before you do.

     

Note: To select several itineraries hold SHIFT.

Step 3: Set Vessel To Passive

  1. Open Setup > Organization > Vessel > Identification tab.

  2. Set the vessel unit to passive.
