Introduction
Under the Organization Structure, we have an organization tree that can consist of your companies, vessels, departments, and positions.
In this article, we will go through the step-by-step process of deleting a company/organization that is no longer active/in use.
Step-by-Step Guide
Setting an Organization unit passive
Setting a unit passive will disable users from being able to select it, however, it will remain on historical activities or in a person’s personal details records.
Go to the Organization Properties.
Select the wanted unit.
If you have the split view on you will see the option on the right-hand side. If not double-click on the unit.
Tick the Passive option and click OK to save.
Deleting an organization unit
It is only possible to delete an organization unit if it has not been used in any records.
Go to Setup | Organization
Select the wanted unit.
Right-click and select Delete
