How to change date/time format in Personnel Portal (APP)
This article explains how a crew/employee can change the date/time format in the Adonis Personnel Portal (APP), by changing the language settings of the browser.
Introduction
Starting from version 2021.30.20 (Patch 19) the Adonis Personnel Portal picks the date/ time settings from the local browser settings of e.g., Chrome, Mozilla, and Edge. It means that users can see different date/ time formats if they use different browsers with different settings.
The reason for the change is to make sure that each user has the date/ time format they prefer and selected for their browser. It is the way most modern applications work.
The function to set a global date/time format in the administrator portal was removed as outdated.
How to change the date/time format
The date/ time format in the browser depends on the selected language.
Based on the browser language you will have a date/ time format corresponding to this language country.
For Google Chrome
From the Application’s Menu click Settings.
Go to the Languages tab.
Select the language from the list or add a new language.
Click the three dots beside your chosen language.
Set the option “Display Google Chrome in this language”.
Click “Relaunch“ or restart browser.
For Mozilla Firefox
From the Application’s Menu click Settings.
Search for the Language settings.
Select the language from the list or add a new language.
Choose to display in your chosen language.
Restart browser
For Microsoft Edge
From the Application’s Menu click Settings.
Go to the Languages tab.
Select the language from the list or add a new language.
Click the three dots beside your chosen language.
Choose to display in your chosen language.
Restart browser.
