AWR Customize Form Fields

As an administrator, you can create your own fields. To do this, switch to the Application Fields tab and click the Add New Field button at the bottom of the page:

Fill in the fields as described below:

  1. Enter a unique Field name.

  2. Select the Scope from the drop-down list. Define whether the field belongs to Personal data, Application info, Medical/Travel/Competence docs, Experience data.

  3. Select the Data type of the field: text, numeric, date, file.

  4. In the Max length field, define the maximum number of characters (available only for text values).

  5. Define the Default label for the field. The label name will be used in the Properties Editor.

  6. In the Export type drop-down list, select the field type to be exported to APM:

    • As APM standard field

    • As APM custom field

    • Do not export

  7. Enter the Export name (available only if Export type is set to As APM custom field) to specify a name of an xml tag to be used when exporting to APM. Below, follow a few rules about how to correctly name an xml tag:

    • Uppercase characters are distinct from lowercase characters.

    • The element name must begin with a letter of the alphabet, an underscore.

    • After the first initial letter, an element name may contain letters, digits, hyphens, underscores and periods. No spaces are allowed.

    • You cannot use an xml keyword (reserved word) for an xml tag name.

  8. In the Lookup drop-down menu, select a field to fetch the predefined values for your custom field. You can also set a Custom lookup to define defined new field values. For more information, see Custom Lookup.

  9. Click OK to save the field.

As a result, a new field (marked with an asterisk) is added to the Elements panel:

To search for a specific field, enter your search criteria in the Find field located right above the Elements panel. The matching value will be highlighted in yellow.

Entering search criteria is not case-sensitive.

To remove a custom field, select it on the Element panel and click Delete.

Deletion is exclusively available for custom from fields (marked with asterisks).

To edit properties of the created custom field, select the custom field you want to edit and click Edit. The Edit Field dialog appears:

Within the dialog, you can edit the following fields:

  • Default label

  • Export type

  • Export name

Click OK to apply the changes.

 

To get back to the main screen, click Main Panel in the upper left-hand side corner.
