Introduction

Traficom Export is a plugin that allows exporting the count of Finnish seafarers' sailing days in the date range to Trafi.

The plugin considers only seafearers with the Finnish nationality and PERSONALIDNO is not null.

The BIRTHDATE should matched the first 6 digits of PERSONALIDNO (DDMMYY)

Functionality

The section will teach you how to set the date range in which you want to find data as well as export the count of Finnish seafearers' sailing days in the defined date range.


Get Started

To access the plugin, log into APM and follow the steps below:

  1. Switch to the Tools ribbon tab and click the Export button:

  2. From the drop-down list, select Traficom Export. The Traficom Export main screen then appears:

     

     

Export Data

On accessing the plugin, you can now proceed with the following steps:

  1. Define the date range to be covered. On the toolbar, pick the Date From and Date To dates. This shows a list of seafarers:

  2. In the list, select the records to be exported and click Send To Trafi. In the Confirm dialog, click Yes to proceed to data export:

  3. You can see the data export in progress. When completed, click Close to exit the dialog.

As a result, the records are exported to Trafi.

The plugin considers only seafearers with the Finnish nationality and PERSONALIDNO is not null.

Download and Installation

To install the plugin, navigate to Install APM Plugin and follow the step-by-step instructions carefully.

 The latest plug-in version is available here: Traficom Export.

 

Connection Settings Configuration

To configure the Traficom Export connection settings, navigate to the Tools ribbon tab and click the Export button. From the drop-down list, select Traficom Export. This opens the following dialog:

Within the dialog, click the Settings button to view the dialog:

Within the dialog, fill in the fields below to configure the settings.

Communication settings:

  • API BaseAddress is the API address of Traficom Export: https://sosotes.trafi.fi/henkilo/tapahtuma/meripalvelu/v1.0/

  • Organization ID is a unique company ID number.

  • System ID is a unique system ID number provided by Traficom after registration.

  • Certificate Path is a path to the local directory where the business certificate is to be saved. See step 1, Installing the Browser Certificate, below.

  • Certificate Password is used to unzip the business certificate. The password is provided after registration.

  • Enable dry-run mode (The changes will not be committed), if selected, enables the testing mode. This means no changes will be exported.

 

Setup settings:

  • Work Code (Rank) Xref is a plugin name defined in Traficom Code Setup.

  • Export File Path is a path to the local directory where the XML exported files will be saved.

 

Debug settings:

  • Enable store session’s data, if selected, allows storing LOG files locally.

  • The output folder (available if the Enable to sore session’s data is selected) is a path to the local directory where the LOG files will be saved.

 

Install Browser Certificate

A business certificate is a confirmation of your identity. It is specifically intended for protecting data and establishing a secure network connection. Follow the steps below to install the business certificate in a browser.

A browser certificate can be requested to Traficom

 

Step 1

To get started, first, download the PrivateKey.zip file and unzip it. Once the download is complete, go to the downloaded path and double-click the installation file (*.p12) to launch a setup wizard.

 

Step 2

When the Welcome dialogue appears, select the certificate store to be used:

  • Current User. This type is local to a user account on the computer.

  • Local Machine. This type is local to the computer and global to all users on the computer.

Click Next to proceed.

 

Step 3

In the File to Import dialogue, specify the file name to be imported:

Click Next to continue.

 

Step 4

In the Private key protection dialogue, enter the key password:

Click Next.

 

Step 5

When the Certificate store dialogue appears, specify the certificate location by selecting one of the options:

  • Automatically select the certificate store based on the type of certificate.

  • Place all certificates in the following store. Select the option to specify the certificate store you want to use.

Click Next.

 

Step 6

Before importing the certificate, verify the settings you have specified:

Click Finish to close the wizard.

 

Step 7

If the import is successful, you are then notified as follows:

Click OK.

Now, select the certificate to authorize your access:

On selecting, click OK.

The following webpage then appears:

The certificate has been successfully verified.

 

 

Traficom Code Setup

To export data, it is required to define the Traficom Export plugin code reference. To do this, first, log into the Adonis Personnel Manager. Once logged in, navigate to the Setup ribbon tab > General Codes > Miscellaneous > Interfaces and proceed with the following steps:

  1. On the ribbon, click New to make the dialog appear:

  2. Enter a Code (mandatory field), a unique alpha-numeric APM code.

  3. In the Text field, indicate the name of an interface and its alternative name, if needed, in the Alternative field.

  4. In the Sort field, define the order number of a record (where 0 means the first record in the list).

  5. In the Is Passive field, specify whether the code is to be active or passive. Passive codes appear as disabled. It is recommended to set a code to Passive if it will no longer be in use.

  6. Click OK to proceed.


As a result, a new record appears in the grid of Interfaces:

 

Rank Codes Setup

To configure the rank codes, go to the Setup ribbon tab > General Codes > Personal Details > Ranks and proceed with the following steps:

  1. Click the New button in the Actions group of the Manage ribbon tab. The General Code Editor (Ranks) dialog appears:

  2. Create a new rank record by filling in the fields below:

    • Enter a Code (mandatory field), a unique alpha-numeric APM code.

    • In the Text field, indicate the name of an interface and its alternative name, if needed, in the Alternative field.

    • In the Sort field, define the order number of a record (where 0 means the first record in the list)

  3. Switch to the XREF tab and click the Append button. Clicking the command enables the fields to be filled in:

    • Interface. Select Trafi from the drop-down list. If the Trafi selection is unavailable, you need to define the Trafi interface by following the instructions in Traficom Code Setup.

    • Xref Code. Enter a cross-reference provided by Trafi for this particular record.

    • Comment. Enter a rank name provided by Trafi.

  4. When completed, click OK to confirm the changes.
