This import tool is used to import competences from an external source. 

Preparation

Access

To access the utility, the user needs to have Write access to the routine 890 Import Competencies in Adonis Control Centre.

File format

Imported file must be of format .csv or a usual txt file. 

If the file is a txt file the extension has to be .apm

Step-by-Step import

When the file is prepared you are ready to import the file as follows: 

  1. Go to Tools | Import | Competences
  2. In the dialogue window chose the following
    • Filename - Fetch the file from where you have saved it
    • Chose the separator used in the file. This can vary depending on the regional settings on the user's computer. 
    • Chose if you want to skip importing a record if the system finds that the person has an existing competence with same code. Note that this only checks the code and not the date from and expiry date of the record. 
    • Chose if the file should be Archived after the import. 
  3. Click OK
  4. In the LogFile in the Dialogue window you can see if the import succeeded or if there were any errors.
