Several companies have persons on temporary contracts and with CBAs that requires that the earned leave days are paid out at the same time as the wages.

Description

A person with a Temporary contract is entitled to get his earned leave days paid out at the same time as the wages. The payment of leave must reflect in the Leave Days account as paid days.

Set Up

  1. Entry code 129 is set to pay out the earned days. This entry code is in turn set to generate a Leave Paid activity.

  2. The script is defined so that this only kicks-in if the person has a contract type TEMP entered in Personal Details.
The field P86a checks for the Contract Type linked to the person.

  3. The entry code is set to be auto-generated on the Onboard activity and on the pay scale N5O

  4. A person must be linked to the Contract Type TEMP - Temporary Contract in Personal Details | Employment

Solution

When calculating payroll, the system will automatically generate the entry code 129 with as many days as the person is onboard in the current payroll period.

In turn, this entry code will generate a DAYSSET - Earned days settled - Temporary Employee activity in Datagroup | Activites with the same number of days - but as negative number reducing the leave days earned accordingly.
