Reset Partial Replication

How to Reset the partial replication and why deleting the table repl_distrib_<tablename> only is not working

When it is needed to reset a vessel database in a partial replication configuration it is enough to set the last replication date/time back in time for example 01/01/1900. The system will then resend all persons identified by the partial replication rule.

Deleting the repl_distrib_<tablename> will not work without resetting the channel last export date.

The reason for this is that the replicator is programmed to handle the situation when shifting from a full to partial replication. The replicator assumes that all information exist onboard already and initiates the partial replication from last export date found on the channel.  The replcator will then rebuild the repl_distrib_<tablename> with PIN's of the pins that are selected by the partial replication query.

Summarized:

Deleting the repl_distrib_<tablename> will not work.

To reset the export the administrator need to reset the channel last replication date/time.
