Can't login to Personnel Portal


This article helps you identify why you cannot log in to Adonis Personnel Portal.

Since the portal consists of several elements: Administrator Portal, Crew Portal, and Employee Portal, it guides you through the login process and tackles common issues like forgotten passwords in each of them. It's like your go-to manual for getting into these portals hassle-free.


Problem

Sometimes it is not that obvious why a user cannot log in to the portal.

  • Which portal should we try?

  • Where to find the URLs?

  • What can be the reason why I cannot log in?

These are the questions we are planning to discuss in this article.

Types of Portal

In short, there are 3 types of portals:

  • Adonis Administrator Portal

  • Adonis Crew Portal

  • Adonis Employee Portal

The Adonis Administrator Portal is only used by Administrators, most of the users do not have access to it and do not have an icon/URL to connect there.

Adonis Crew Portal - the word Crew used here adds a slight onboard feeling, which is intended. You will be able to connect to the Crew Portal only while you are physically onboard. You cannot log in to the Crew Portal while being on vacation/at home. You need to be connected to the local network on the vessel to be able to log in. Crew Portal is used for tracking timesheets, as an example.

The Adonis Employee Portal requires a normal Internet connection. It is a website to which you can connect from home, while traveling, or from anywhere if you have an internet connection. You can insert your Travel Expenses on the Employee Portal.

Various documents, like competencies, travel documents, and payslips can theoretically be accessible from both Crew and Employee Portal, but that depends on the setup your company decided to make.

Where do I find the URLs

All three above-mentioned portal types have a unique URL to connect to. Usually, it is someone internally in your company who provides the URLs. Please contact your department head or someone in the office who is responsible for providing you with the correct URLs.

I don’t know my credentials

First-time login

When you log in for the first time, you need to use the First Time Login function. The system will ask you to insert PIN + Year of birth, where the PIN is your identifier in the Adonis system. Someone internally in your company, in charge of Adonis, can advise you on your pin nr.

Forgot Password

If this is not your first time login, but you cannot log in still, use the Forgot Password function. The system will send you an e-mail with the URL to renew your password.

In case you do not have access to your inbox at that moment, do not have a good enough internet connection to open the URL, or do not have time to react to the mail, you might want to make a reset password request later - as the mail is valid 4 hours only.

In case the mail did not come to your inbox, please contact your administrator.

Can’t log in - Common reasons

At the moment when a user tries to log in, the system makes a verification, if this person is authorized to log in. As an example, we mentioned above that the Crew Portal is only accessible for persons when they are on board. If you are onboard, and cannot log in to Crew Portal, you need to contact someone internally who is responsible for operating in Adonis, so that they verify if they updated information on you correctly.

The things that the administrator might need to check in Adonis Personnel Manager for you:

  • verify that the pin nr used is the same as in Adonis

  • verify that the person has Employed status in Adonis (important for Crew Portal, while for Employee Portal login Employment State can be blank)

  • verify that your birthdate is inserted correctly in Adonis

  • verify that the email address is correct and is set with priority 1, and there is only one email with priority 1 (important for Employee Portal)

  • verify that Onboard activity exists and is current (important for Crew Portal)

  • verify that the rank on the activity and Personal Details are correct

Is my Travel Expense record correct?

If you are in doubt that your travel expense record is correct, you need to contact someone internally, your department head, or administrator with questions. As long as internal rules for defining travel expenses differ from company to company, Adonis support in most cases will not be aware of your internal rules.
